Massachusetts health system to close 2 retail pharmacies

Hyannis, Mass.-based Cape Cod Healthcare will close two retail pharmacies and reduce hours at a third by June 1, according to the Cape Cod Times.

The decision to close the pharmacies and reduce hours will affect seven pharmacy positions. Cape Cod Healthcare officials are working with affected employees to help them find other jobs within the system.

Cape Cod Healthcare will shutter its retail pharmacy at Stoneman Outpatient Center in Sandwich, Mass., and Fontaine Outpatient Center in Harwich, Mass.
