Maine hospital partners with local pharmacy for outpatient services

Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent is moving its outpatient pharmacy services to St. John Valley Pharmacy, an independently owned pharmacy in the area.

There will be no changes to services, ownership or operations at St. John Valley Pharmacy. Inpatient pharmacy services at Northern Maine Medical Center will remain unchanged as well, according to an Aug. 16 news release from the hospital. 

The partnership is expected to be in effect by Oct. 1 and integrates St. John Valley Pharmacy to Northern Maine Medical Center’s healthcare network.
