Magellan Rx Management will work in collaboration with Zipline, an operator specializing in aircraft delivery services, to deliver prescription medications via drones straight to patients’ front doors, according to the company website.

Drone-delivered prescriptions include specialty medications for chronic, complex conditions and traditional medications.

The collaboration is set to initially operate for Magellan Rx Management members within 7,800 square miles of Zipline’s distribution center in Kannapolis, N.C.
