Lurie Children’s Hospital, based in Chicago, will open its first outpatient specialty pharmacy in partnership with Clearway Health.

The 2,050-square-foot facility, set to open in late 2026, will be on the third floor of the new Lurie Children’s Outpatient and Infusion Center located in Schaumburg, Ill., according to an April 22 news release from Clearway.

The pharmacy aims to support pediatric patients who have complex medical conditions by providing access to medications typically unavailable at retail pharmacies. In addition, the pharmacy will integrate pharmacy services with Lurie Children’s care teams to better streamline medication management.

Services will include patient education, treatment monitoring, and help with insurance-related processes such as prior authorizations and financial assistance, the release said.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
