The union’s Pro Tech Optical and Pharmacy has worked over the last two years to convince the Oakland, Calif.-based system to agree to market rate adjustments, according to an April 2 news release. Union members in Washington will soon review and discuss the proposed mid-contract wage increase.
“Kaiser Permanente Washington is pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with UFCW 3000 for a mid-contract wage adjustment,” a health system spokesperson told Becker’s. “This agreement demonstrates our commitment to continuing to provide excellent, market-based compensation and deep appreciation and gratitude for our employees.
