The New York jury had already awarded 66-year-old Donna Olson compensatory damages totaling $25 million this month.
J&J faces more than 13,000 lawsuits nationwide over its talc-related products. The lawsuits claim that J&J’s talc contains asbestos and causes cancer. J&J denies the allegations.
J&J said it plans to appeal the decision.
