Intermountain Health’s specialty pharmacy is partnering with Foundation Health to automate patient communications, according to a July 29 news release.

In an initial six-month program, Foundation Health’s PAIGE AI platform will automate secure messages and voice communications — including patient assessment calls, refill reminders, benefits verification and medication onboarding — for the health system. The partnership aims to improve patient communication and care coordination while reducing administrative burdens.

“This collaboration strengthens our ability to deliver personalized care and improve outcomes for patients with complex conditions,” Mason Hilton, PharmD, system director of Intermountain’s pharmacy operations, said in a statement.

Intermountain serves more than 14,000 patients through its specialty pharmacy in Midvale, Utah, according to the release. The Salt Lake City-based system operates 33 hospitals and about 400 clinics across six states.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
