In his new role, Dr. Parsey will be responsible for Gilead’s global clinical development and medical affairs organizations. He will report directly to CEO Daniel O’Day.
Dr. Parsey is currently a senior vice president of early clinical development at Genentech, a position he’s held since 2015. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of 3-V Biosciences, a Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis drug developer.
Dr. Parsey’s appointment follows a long list of recent executive changes at Gilead.
