Mar Musil, 37, pleaded guilty in January to tampering with hospital products, after admitting he diluted morphine and fentanyl syringes with a saline solution. He said he kept the extra drugs for himself.
Prosecutors said Mr. Musil tampered with drugs meant for cancer patients or burn victims. It is unclear if the diluted syringes were administered to patients.
