The U.S. Attorney’s Office charged Antonio Rivera with theft of pre-retail medical products, trafficking in stolen pre-retail medical products, conspiracy to sell and distribute stolen medical products and wire fraud.
Mr. Rivera stole 20,203 boxes of diabetic test strips and at one point had $718,629 in “wire fraud proceeds” in his PayPal account, prosecutors said.
He had been employed as a purchasing manager since 2007 and was transferred to the CVS in Rochester in June 2017.
If convicted, Mr. Rivera faces up to 20 years in prison.
