Health system officials said the kiosks allow all prescriptions to be filled within hours of pharmacy receipt.
Pharmacist consults are also available via phone or video all day. The kiosks are temperature-controlled, so they maintain efficacy during storage.
Last year the Texas State Board of Pharmacy approved new rules that permitted retail pharmacies in the state to dispense medications via a kiosk.
