The End Drug Shortages Alliance, a nonprofit formed by Vizient in 2021 to address medication supply chain issues, has named four new members to its board, including Ascension’s chief pharmacy officer.
The organization announced Jan. 22 that its new board chair is Mike Wascovich, PharmD, chief pharmacy officer and vice president of medication management at St. Louis-based Ascension. Jennifer Bair, PharmD, chief pharmacy officer and vice president of pharmacy services at Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health, was named chair-elect.
Two others were appointed as new board members: Allan Coukell, chief government affairs and public policy officer at Civica Rx, and Mark Spiecker, president of 503B outsourcing manufacturer STAQ Pharma.
Three members rotated off the board of directors, according to a Jan. 22 news release. They are Faiez Usman, PharmD, chief manufacturing officer of Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Co.; Lindsey Thomas, senior vice president of marketing at Fresenius Kabi; and Rafael Saenz, PharmD, vice president of knowledge management and thought leadership at McKesson.
