A treatment for relapsed multiple myeloma, a blood supply screening device & 2 more FDA approvals

Four drugs or medical devices approved by the FDA since July 5:

1. Xpovio was approved in combination with the corticosteroid dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed refractory multiple myeloma.

2. Katerzia is an amlodipine oral suspension for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults and pediatric patients ages 6 and older. 

3. Alinity s System is a device to screen the nation's blood and plasma supply to protect against infected blood. 

4. ProVate, a vaginal ring pessary, was approved for the temporary, nonsurgical management of pelvic organ prolapse in women.
