Forbes teamed up with Statista to create the ranking, which is based on survey responses from more than 217,000 people working at U.S. companies with more than 1,000 employees. Companies with more than 5,000 employees were deemed “large employers.” Survey participants rated companies based on criteria such as salary, work environment, training programs and growth opportunities. They were also asked if they would recommend their current employer to others.
