A new report from Vizient highlighted the 10 drug shortages placing the most pressure on U.S. hospitals, with the injectable lorazepam topping the list for both general and pediatric facilities. 

The following are the top 10 high-impact drug shortages reported by hospitals. These shortages span a range of essential drug categories, including sedatives, crash cart medications, pain management treatments and oncology treatments:

  2. Dextrose emergency syringe 
  3. Diazepam injection
  4. Ketamine 
  5. Epinephrine
  6. Sodium bicarbonate
