A statement from Anthem said Yale Medicine is seeking a considerable rate increase.
“Anthem understands that our customers and members value both access to Yale Medicine and healthcare affordability,” the statement read, according to CT Mirror. “Anthem will continue to work hard to retain Yale Medicine in our network in a manner that balances both of these interests.”
Yale Medicine did not respond to CT Mirror’s request for comment.
The negotiation’s between Yale Medicine and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield do not affect Yale-New HavenHospital or the Yale New Haven Health System.
