WellSpan and Capital BlueCross said May 1 that they agreed to enter into a long-term agreement that will be finalized in the coming months. The companies said the partnership will use WellSpan’s EHR and Capital BlueCross’ data systems to examine new product offerings for employers, expand Medicare benefits, create digital health strategies and improve clinical care and payment processes.
“As we look for a multitude of ways to enhance the value of the care we deliver, we see great benefit in working more closely with organizations that provide healthcare coverage to the patients we serve,” Roxanna Gapstur, PhD, RN, president and CEO of WellSpan, said in a press release.
