Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Dakota named Lori Clausen president, effective Jan. 1, according to the Argus Leader.
Here are three notes about the executive move.
1. Ms. Clausen succeeded Phil Davis. Mr. Davis retired after 44 years with the company.
2. Prior to joining Wellmark BCBS of South Dakota, Ms. Clausen was a vice president for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a Sioux City, Iowa-based insurance brokerage, the report states.
3. She has more than 30 years of experience in the health insurance and business sectors.
