Vanderbilt University Medical Center, UnitedHealthcare resolve contract dispute

Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealthcare negotiated an in-network agreement, Tennessean reports.

Under the agreement, 30,000 UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare members will be considered in-network at VUMC for the next few years.

Earlier this month, UnitedHealthcare notified Medicare Advantage policyholders VUMC would be out-of-network with the payer Aug. 15 without a resolution, the report states.
