Tenet, Humana amend effective date of contract

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and Louisville, Ky.-based Humana amended their multiyear provider network agreement to take effect June 1.

The organizations previously terminated their contract on Sept. 30, 2016. They announced a new contract May 1, which was set to take effect Between June 1 and Oct. 1. However, the amended contract moved the effective data to the beginning of this month.

Under the agreement, Humana is now in-network with Tenet physicians, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, imaging centers, laboratories and home health centers.
