Stanford Health Care joins Sutter Health | Aetna

Sutter Health | Aetna, the joint health plan launched by Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health and Aetna, added Stanford (Calif.) Health Care to its provider network, according to the North Bay Business Journal.

Under the agreement, Sutter Health | Aetna members can access Stanford Hospital, more than 1,500 specialists and nearly 200 primary care physicians affiliated with Stanford Medicine at in-network prices. The agreement is effective April 1.

Sutter, with 24 hospitals and providers that treat 3 million-plus patients, launched its health plan with Aetna in 2017.
