Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg, Ohio, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Ohio have implemented a bundled payment structure for total joint replacement surgeries, reports Crain's Cleveland Business.
The healthcare companies developed reimbursement terms quality outcomes based on standards developed through Ohio's State Innovation Model Grant, sponsored by CMS.
"We are honored that Anthem has recognized Southwest General's orthopedic physicians and hospital staff for superior outcomes and high quality care as well as our lower costs for joint replacement procedures," Southwest General President and CEO William Young. Jr., said in a statement.
