Penn State Health St. Joseph to accept Geisinger health plans

Geisinger Health Plan policyholders will be accepted at Reading, Pa.-based Penn State Health St. Joseph effective Oct. 1, Reading Eagle reports.

All Geisinger individual, Medicare and employer-sponsored health plans will be included in the agreement.

“Ensuring sustainable healthcare delivery requires such partnerships between providers and insurers and this is another of our efforts to continue to improve access and make healthcare more affordable for our community,” John Morahan, Penn State Health St. Joseph president and CEO, said.
