Also awarded a grant was Penn Medicine’s LiveAware, which aids in cancer screening by both reducing clinician need to determine eligibility and promoting “on-time image-based screening.”
The final grant supported a text messaging system that helps at-home oral chemotherapy patients apply treatment. In addition to limiting visits for patients, the system aims to increase treatment schedule consistency and manage side effects.
The grant money, which averages $200,000 per grant, will be used to further develop the projects through trials to expand their use.
