New Mexico health insurance exchange CEO quits for Molina Healthcare

Amy Dowd, CEO of beWellnm — New Mexico’s health insurance exchange — is resigning and taking a position at Long Beach, Calif.-based Molina Healthcare, The Santa Fe New Mexican reported.

The announcement comes as the state exchange prepares for the upcoming open enrollment period in November. beWellnm officials are developing a transition plan and said the exchange will still be able to serve New Mexico residents during open enrollment.

Ms. Dowd plans to work at the exchange until Sept. 16. She started working at beWellnm two years ago after overseeing Idaho’s health insurance exchange.
