Montefiore Health, Aetna sign multiyear agreement

Bronx, N.Y.-based Montefiore Health System agreed to a multiyear agreement with Aetna, an Aetna spokesperson confirmed with Becker’s Hospital Review.

The health system and health insurer reached an agreement for reimbursement rates ahead of a Sept. 8 deadline.

Aetna policyholders will maintain in-network access to Montefiore’s hospitals and its employed providers under the agreement, according to the spokesperson.
