Minneapolis insurer to expand offerings by 300%

Bright Health, a health insurer based in Minneapolis, will expand to 13 new markets in 2020, growing its product offerings by 300 percent year over year.

In 2020, Bright Health will expand its Health Plan Care Partner Model across seven states. The insurer will also expand product offerings in its existing markets. In total, Bright Health will be in 22 markets across 12 states.

Bright Health is developing care networks in these markets. The health insurer said it uses several criteria to build its network, including geographic reach, quality of care and operational efficiency. Some of its partners include Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, Nashville, Tenn.-based TriStar Health and Phoenix Children's Hospital.

All product offerings will be subject to regulatory approvals.
