'Medicare for All' gaining traction among small business CEOs

Some small business CEOs are arguing entrepreneurship would grow if health insurance was disconnected from employment benefits, according to Kaiser Health News.

Dan Geiger, co-director of the Business Alliance for a Healthy California, whose 300-some members support "Medicare for All" proposals, told Kaiser Health News more employers are throwing support behind a single-payer healthcare system.

"There is growing momentum among employers supporting single-payer. Businesses are really angry about the system, and there is a lot of frustration with its rising costs and dysfunction," he said.

As momentum builds among small employers, large business lobbying groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have come out against increased government involvement in healthcare, according to the report.
