Minnetonka, Minn.-based Medica selected Tom Lindquist as senior vice president and general manager of its combined Medicare and Medicaid business.
Here are four things to know Mr. Lindquist.
1. Mr. Lindquist has more than 30 years of experience in the health insurance industry,10 of which he spent at Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group.
2. He previously served as president and COO of UnitedHealth's senior-focused subsidiary Ovations.
3. Mr. Lindquist also created United Retiree Solutions, a UnitedHealth branch focused on the employer group retiree market.
4. While at UnitedHealth, he was health insurance industry liaison to the Congressional Budget Office and CMS.
