Kettering Health, Cigna reach new contract

Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network and Cigna inked a new contract ahead of a June 14 deadline, according to the Dayton Daily News.

Kettering Health confirmed with the publication June 14 that a new contract was signed. Under the contract, the health system and its Kettering Physician Network will remain in network for Cigna members. As a result, Cigna members won't face higher, out-of-network prices for accessing Kettering Health hospitals and physicians.

Cigna spokesman Jim Angstadt told the Dayton Daily News: "We are pleased that Cigna and Kettering Health Network have reached agreement on the terms of a new contract. We look forward to working with Kettering to continue to provide affordable, in-network access to Kettering Health Network and affiliated providers."
