IU Health Plans welcomes new VP of medical operations: 3 points

Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health named Geovani Bonilla IU Health Plans’ vice president of medical operations.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Bonilla formerly served as director of utilization management for Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Healthcare, which develops and manages care contracts for 350,000-plus plan members.

2. He earned his MBA from University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business in College Park.

3. In his new role, Mr. Bonilla will oversee the IU Health Plans’ pharmacy, quality and utilization management programs as well as collaborate with the plans’ network.
