Indiana taps CareSource for Medicaid services

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration has selected CareSource to administer healthcare services for those enrolled in the Healthy Indiana Plan and Hoosier Healthwise programs, effective January 2017, reports Dayton Business Journal.

In an official statement, CareSource said that landing the state's Medicaid contract could result in about 200 new jobs within the company, split between its Dayton, Ohio, headquarters and satellite offices in Indiana.

State-selected Medicaid vendors in Indiana include Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, MDWise and Managed Health Services of Indiana. In all, about 100 million residents are enrolled in these programs.
