Humana to bring most remote employees back into office by Labor Day

Health insurer Humana is aiming to have its offices fully staffed again by Labor Day.

Ninety percent of the payer's workforce has operated remotely since March 12, 2020, when the first COVID-19 case was reported at a company workspace, according to WLKY, an affiliate of CBS.

Based in the downtown area of Louisville, Ky., Humana has 12,000 local employees and 45,000 employees nationally.

"While our offices have remained open through the pandemic for critical and specific needs, this next step will broaden the options for our employees," a Humana spokesperson told CBS.
