Humana opens its second retail pharmacy in Texas

Louisville, Ky.-based health insurer Humana has opened a retail pharmacy in San Antonio, marking the second retail pharmacy it has opened in the state of Texas, according to San Antonio Express-News.

The pharmacy will open at MCCI Medical Group’s De Leon Medical Center. Humana’s other retail pharmacy in Texas is in New Braunfels at Partners in Primary Care.

Humana’s retail pharmacies are intended for the insurer’s Medicare Advantage and commercial health plan enrollees. Texas is currently home to more than 550,000 such Humana enrollees.
