Humana joins national health plan alliance CAQH

Humana became the newest member of CAQH, a national alliance of health plans, associations and other stakeholders that focuses on streamlining the business of healthcare, in part through technological solutions.

Nearly 1,000 health plans and more than 1.4 million providers use CAQH solutions to exchange data. CAQH also offers tools for credentialing, claims processing, quality assurance and member services.

Humana agreed to serve on CAQH’s board of directors. Some other industry members included in the alliance are Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealth Group and Kaiser Permanente.
