FPG provides care to more than 22,000 Medicare Advantage patients across its 22 clinics in Orlando and Central Florida.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Humana officials said the acquisition will aid in the insurer’s strategy to help physicians and clinicians treat patients holistically.

The deal comes days after Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred Healthcare’s shareholders approved Humana; Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe; and TPG Capital’s joint proposal to take over the health system.
