How much did Humana's CEO make in 2015?

Louisville, Ky.-based Humana president and CEO Bruce Broussard's total earnings increased 1.98 percent between 2014 and 2015, according to The Courier-Journal.

Including combined salary, stock awards and additional compensation, Mr. Broussard earned $10.3 million in 2015. In 2014, his total earnings were $10.1 million.

In light of the pending merger between Humana and Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna, recent documents from the Securities and Exchange Commission show Mr. Broussard may receive up to $40.2 million if his position is taken away, according to the report.

In addition, these Humana executives received the following amounts in compensation in 2015:

  • James Murray, executive vice president and COO: $3.5 million
  • Brian Kane, senior vice president and CFO: $2.3 million
  • Timothy Huval, senior vice president and chief HR officer: $2.3 million
  • Jody Bilney, senior vice president and chief consumer officer: $2.2 million
