Highmark pulls out of ACA exchange in 2 Pennsylvania counties

Pittsburgh-based Highmark withdrew 2017 ACA marketplace plans from two counties in Pennsylvania, WITF reports.

Highmark will drop its Highmark Select Resources and HHIC products from York and Adams Counties next year, though the payer will offer HHIC and off-exchange plans in other parts of Pennsylvania, reports York Dispatch. Affected consumers will have only two health plans from which to purchase coverage — Capital Advantage Assurance and Geisinger Health Plan.

Aetna and UnitedHealthcare pulled out of Pennsylvania's ACA marketplace this year.
