Five things to know:
1. HAP’s acquisition of Trusted HP-Michigan, announced June 10, marks HAP’s reentrance into the state’s Medicaid health maintenance organization business.
2. Trusted HP-Michigan, formerly Harbor Health Plans, has 9,000 Medicaid members.
3. The health plans said Trusted HP-Michigan members will be able to keep their physicians and current ID cards.
4. Pending regulatory approval, the deal is set to be finalized in late summer.
5. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
