Cleveland Clinic | Oscar individual plans will be sold in five northeast Ohio counties beginning this fall, pending regulatory approval. Cleveland Clinic and Oscar jointly will offer plans on and off the state’s ACA exchange for coverage beginning Jan. 1.
Policyholders will gain access to a Cleveland Clinic primary care physician and care managers, as well as an Oscar Concierge nurse and three care guides. Cleveland Clinic and Oscar will also offer Cleveland Clinic | Oscar members 24/7 access to telemedicine.
Steve Glass, CFO of Cleveland Clinic, said the offering reflects “a different approach, one that breaks down the complexities between providers and insurers, allowing our patients to easily navigate the healthcare and health insurance systems.”
Emma Riccardi, corporate communications manager for Oscar, said in an emailed statement to Becker’s Hospital Review the payer will send its “engineers, clinicians and data scientists to Cleveland to help build Cleveland Clinic | Oscar plans” during the next several months.
