Cigna’s stock price tumbles on news of deal with Express Scripts

Cigna’s stock price dropped March 8 after the company announced a $67 billion deal to acquire pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts.

Cigna’s stock price was down 11.46 percent at market close March 8. However, the deal sent Express Scripts shares 8.58 percent higher.

Cigna and Express Scripts anticipate the deal will close by the end of 2018.
