Cigna’s stress on community health navigation stems from The Commonwealth Fund’s 2015 Scorecard on State Health System Performance. Through its World of Difference grants, Cigna aims to collaborate with nonprofits pursuing projects that help people overcome barriers to their health and wellbeing.
The following organizations received World of Difference grants:
- Washington, D.C.-based La Clinica del Pueblo
- Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
- Nashville, Tenn.-based Siloam Family Health Center
- St. Paul, Minn.-based Lifetrack Resources
- New York City-based Mount Sinai Hospital
- Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center
- Atlanta-based Emory University Rollins School of Public Health
- Community Solutions of Hartford (Conn.)
Other grant recipients will be announced throughout the rest of 2016 and into 2017.
