CEO of New Mexico’s health insurance exchange out: 3 things to know

The board of New Mexico’s health insurance exchange voted to not extend CEO Cheryl Gardner’s two-year contract March 15, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

Three things to know:

1. Ms. Gardner will serve as CEO of the exchange, beWellnm, through the end of March.

2. The health exchange’s board will name an interim CEO and begin a search for a new CEO.

3. Four leaders have passed through beWellnm since it was started in 2013, according to the report.
