The organizations form the alliance as TrueCare, which is owned by over 60 providers throughout Mississippi, prepares to issue a bid to serve state Medicaid beneficiaries, according to the Dec. 2 announcement.
The bid would allow the alliance to serve beneficiaries of the state’s coordinated care program, MississippiCAN, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
“TrueCare is pleased to enter into a strategic alliance with CareSource, a nonprofit organization that shares our values and goals of providing high quality care to Mississippi members and high quality services to Mississippi providers,” said Chuck Reece, TrueCare board chair. “We are looking forward to partnering with the Mississippi Division of Medicaid to make a meaningful difference for Mississippians and to be good stewards of Mississippi taxpayer dollars.”
