CareSource extends West Virginia footprint

Dayton, Ohio-based payer CareSource will more than triple the number of West Virginia counties where it sells marketplace plans next year, Dayton Daily News reports.

The nonprofit Medicaid managed care insurer will offer its marketplace Just4Me plans in 32 counties next year, up from 10 this year. Plans will be available for open enrollment beginning Nov. 1.

CareSource operates in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky and is entering its second year in West Virginia. It covers more than 100,000 policyholders collectively. 

The insurer recently said it will expand its Medicare Advantage plans in Ohio for open enrollment beginning Oct. 15.
