BCBS of Wyoming customers overcharged due to banking error

A banking processing error duplicated automatic monthly premium withdrawals from some Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming members’ accounts, according to County 17.

BCBS of Wyoming said ANB Bank in Cheyenne, Wyo., accidentally reprocessed 10 percent of its members’ monthly premium payments multiple times. BCBS of Wyoming notified members of the error Dec. 4. The bank said it acted quickly to reverse and credit affected members’ accounts.

In a news release obtained by County 17, BCBS of Wyoming said it recognized the error may have affected its members financially and is working to refund any overdraft charges or fees.
