BCBS of Minnesota parent gets 2 IT leaders

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota’s parent company, Stella, named two leaders to its health IT and analytics operations.

Four things to know:

1. Shahid Alam will join Stella as senior vice president and chief analytics and information officer. In his role, he will lead the company’s analytics and technology initiatives.

2. Mr. Alam joins Stella from Centene Corp., where he led operations relating to software, data and platform technology.

3. Stella also named A.R. Weiler CEO of its mobile healthcare provider Livio Health Group.

4. Mr. Weiler joined Stella from his independent consulting firm.
