Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois has selected three early-stage startups to participate in its Innovation Accelerator Program, an initiative focused on furthering virtual and home healthcare developments in the wake of COVID-19.
The participants are maternal health and doula network Alimus, addiction screening startup Compris and medication management platform Medsense Health.
All three will be awarded $25,000, according to a June 22 news release.
"We see the startup community as an essential partner in advancing innovation," BCBS of Illinois President Steve Hamman said in the statement. "Working with early-stage entrepreneurs to shape their solutions provides BCBSIL unique inputs into how these companies evolve."
The program will run through October.
