Motivo will use the funds to increase the number of licensed behavioral health counselors in the state’s underserved areas, according to a July 13 news release.
Data from Anthem’s “State of the Nation’s Mental Health” report showed significantly fewer mental health diagnoses in Kentucky in 2020 than in 2019, with mental health diagnoses for children falling 7 percent, the statement said.
The findings were based on Anthem claims from 1.9 million Kentucky members.
