The network will expand both in California and Wisconsin next year, including 24 and three counties in each state, respectively.
BlueHPN, a collaboration between Anthem and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, is a national-level network of select providers from Anthem’s Prudent Buyer PPO network, according to the California Medical Association.
The move follows opt-in notices sent to providers, notifying them Oct. 29 that Anthem was including them in its Exclusive Provider Organization, which is based on BlueHPN.
